Taking the Plunge into "C" for Embedded System Design

Using various examples, this session demonstrates how to write C programs that can run in the very small RAM and ROM footprints of 8- and 16-bit microcontrollers with limited on-chip memory resources. Hardware-specific techniques are used to write "smart" code that is rarely larger than the assembly-language equivalent, yet is much more readable, thereby aiding software development and maintenance.
