Implementing Internet Connectivity for Mobile Devices
Microprocessor solutions for next-generation Internet-connected applications must meet difficult design requirements. This session discusses devices that have extremely high-performance: 600+ MHz speeds with 1080+ Drystone MIPs, on-chip FPUs, DSP functions, and minimal power consumption. Subjects discussed include fast wired and wireless connectivity, audio/video processing, and navigation graphics as well as stable OS/RTOS configurations with hardware that runs Linux, WinCE, ThreadX, QNX, etc. Methods for achieving the low power consumption that's essential for portable, battery-powered systems will also be covered. |
